Love Point is situated on the northernmost tip of Kent Island just a few miles from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and has quite a history!

The Love Point Hotel opened in the early 1900s and was located about a mile from our home!! Known as a popular getaway from Baltimore, locals flocked for celebrations, Saturday night dancing, fishing charters, and the $1.25 all-you-can-eat buffet. Upon arrival they were greeted by the grand hotel with its scenic views, sandy beach, long pier, and even a lake with canoe rentals. After closing in 1947, the property sat vacant until the 1960s when it burnt to the ground.
